Yup, at this point, 2024 is so close to over that guests at its New Year’s Eve party are pulling on their coats to leave. But before we put the last 12 months in rearview, let’s take one last look back and render judgment on what our soaps — both primetime and daytime — offered us in the past 365 days.

And to be sure, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful,  General Hospital and Days of Our Lives have given us an awful lot to talk about. In fact, our feelings might best be summed up by the lyrics to a popular sitcom of our youth. Some of the twists will no doubt go down in the daytime history books (rather like the one which you can purchase below!), while other developments… well, let’s just say we suspect everyone involved would just as soon forget.
