The father of three said that Joy-Anna’s sisters, Jessa and Jill, have also done the same with Spurgeon and Israel, which fueled his desire to keep Gideon’s arrival private. He also admitted that it was a difficult time, adding that it never crossed his mind that he would make such a decision if he was ever going to have cameras on their faces. He added, “I didn’t really trust the producers or the camera guys — not that the camera guys really had anything to do with the production.”
