As she was on her healing journey, she took to her Instagram to upload more pictures from her painful miscarriage day. One of the photos had the pair in the ER. It looked like Derick came to see her there. The image showed the swollen eyes of the Counting On star.
It’s clear that Jill cried for hours after learning that she lost her baby. It’s already been one year since the incident occurred, but that still shatters her heart whenever she thinks about it. The doctor informed her and Derick that their unborn baby girl, whom they named Isla Marie, had stopped beating. On March 29, Jill Duggar posted a series of throwback pictures on Instagram. The first one showed Derick down on one knee to propose to her for marriage. Viewers of 19 and Counting would remember the engagement episode 11 years ago, in 2014. Jill wrote a long message in the post’s caption to describe the day and her experience.
Derrick proposed to Jill in a small town in Bentonville, Arkansas. She also revealed that she felt extra special on the day because he dedicated her to a Walker Hayes song that told their love story. However, fans couldn’t believe that they actually had to replay every little thing about the proposal.
Jill said that they did it for TLC producers purely to capture everything in perfect angles. She also narrated a funny story about them unintentionally cutting off access to the square by those preparing for their own engagement. People present there had no idea that she and Derick were actually the ones getting engaged.
Jill then continued that she was sure Derick would propose on the very day without understanding the spot. With her sister Jessica, she counted days and months for the ultimate blast. The former reality star also noted that the initial days of their relationship were very wild and insane. They had to do plenty of filming back then.
