In an Ask Anything session, a viewer wanted to know if she also plans to have 19 kids, the way her mother, Michelle Duggar, did.

Well, Joy Anna blatantly said “no.” The star also added she wanted to raise her kids “intentionally and effectively” for Jesus. After reading this, the entire fanbase wanted to discuss whether it was the star calling out her parents by saying they were ineffective in raising her and her siblings. Well, Joy Anna didn’t clarify or explain her statement more than this. But it was clear that her relationship with her family still remains strained.

She also rebelled against some of the rules by defying the dress code, calling out the no touching during courting rule, and so on. Well, in a new Instagram post, Joy Anna may have thrown shade at her family once again.

In her new post, Joy Anna was all praises for her husband Austin’s mother. She was thankful to her mother-in-law for teaching her about dealing with paperwork for “bookwork, tax season preparation, reconciling, running a business, organization” and so on. Everyone began to frown upon this. Duggar News followers wondered if Joy Anna was implying that her family members i.e., brothers, sisters or parents never taught her these things.

Many said in a Reddit thread that the theory was plausible. After all, IBLP teachings were all about making women more submissive. They conditioned them to look after the house and Kids. So, chances are none of the Duggars bothered to teach the women in the family about important financial issues that are necessary to look after during adulthood.
