Duggar News: Katey In Trouble For This Parenting Mishap!
It has been a big year for Jed and Katey Duggar. Duggar News followers know that they have their plate full when it comes to looking after their babies. They had Truett and Nora in 2022 and 2023. Then, in 2025, they welcomed twin baby girls. So, right now, the duo has been raising four babies under the age of 3, and Katey decided to share her experience about the same.
Fans spotted Katey reading a book in one of her reels. It was Love of Discipline: When the Gospel Meets Tantrums and Time-Outs. Many began to slam the star for this. They were against the book as it said spanking kids and giving them timeouts is okay. On the other hand, many believed her little ones were too young to be disciplined at such an age.
Duggar News: Katey Duggar Faces The Heat For An Insensitive Comment!
Now that Katey and Jed are looking after four kids all at once, including a pair of twins, their responsibilities have increased rapidly. While they used to be quite active on Instagram, they are rarely there. Duggar News fans figured it must be because they were too busy parenting the little ones. Well, Katey decided to spill the beans about the same in a new social media post.
While talking about being a mother of four kids, Katey talked about a lot of things. This included how much of a help her husband Jedidiah had been. She called him a “hands-on dad” who was doing his best. Well, this comment didn’t land well with the Reddit audience. Many said that there was no need for Katey to use such a term to describe her husband.
A user explained how there is no such term as a “hands-on mother.” That’s because it is always expected of women to do parenting duties. Hence, they didn’t like it when Katey called Jed a “hands-on” dad. The people on the thread believed that men get credit for doing the bare minimum things around the house. Hence, Jed being involved more should be his duty and not something he is doing out of his way.
Since the backlash, neither Jed nor Katey have responded. Viewers also noted that the couple is set in their orthodox ways because of their strict iBLP and Christian upbringing. Keep an eye on TV Season & Spoilers for more Duggar News.
