Lydia Plath is married!

The Welcome to Plathville star, 21, married her fiancé of two months, Zac Wyse, on Saturday, Feb. 22, at her family’s farm in Georgia. The pair tied the knot in front of 115 guests in a blue-themed wedding ceremony, where they shared their first kiss at the altar.

“The discipline it has taken to save our first kiss for the wedding day is an example of the commitment we have for each other going into our marriage,” Wyse tells PEOPLE.

The Christian couple — who exclusively confirmed to PEOPLE that they got engaged over a romantic weekend in December 2024, less than a month after Plath publicly revealed that she was dating Wyse — chose the farm as their wedding venue because they “wanted to create new memories on top of the many memories Lydia had growing up there.”

They also wanted their wedding to be “an example of the love Jesus has for the church,” and cite the Bible verse Ephesians 5:25 as a goal they plan to live by.

“We envisioned a time to celebrate our union with our close communities coming together,” Wyse says. “Neither of us wanted to get caught up in the details we won’t remember for the years to come. So we’ve tried to keep our focus on what our purpose for this day is, our union before God, our friends, and family.”

Plath — who appears on her TLC reality series alongside her parents, Kim and Barry Plath, and 8 siblings — walked down the aisle to the tune of “Goodness of God” played on the violin and piano. She wore a white gown with “the perfect balance of lace and sparkle while remaining very light and flowy.”

“What made me choose this dress was how it fit my personality,” Plath tells PEOPLE. “It wasn’t just my choice but many people who were there when I tried it on agreed that the dress was very much me. It’s a dress that makes me feel free and graceful.”

The ceremony was officiated by the couple’s pastor. The bride and groom wrote their own vows but incorporated traditional vows as well.

“We both were so excited to see our people come together,” says Wyse, who is from Colorado. “For both sides it would be their first time meeting one another so it’s great to see the union of not only Lydia and I, but our closest friends and family as well.”

Ahead of the ceremony, Wyse and Plath read The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller in order to get to know each other and themselves better.

“This process is called sanctification where you both carry each other and push each other to choose love even when it’s hard,” Wyse says. “We look forward to learning about what that looks like in our relationship as we grow in our new love together.”

At the reception, guests were served a plated dinner of chicken chardonnay from Florida-based Georgio’s.

Afterward, the newlyweds sliced into a strawberry cheesecake adorned with Plath’s parents’ cake topper. Meanwhile, their friends and family enjoyed different locally made cupcakes.

The couple tells PEOPLE they are most excited about “learning and growing each and every day” and “building a rhythm of life together.” Their next chapter begins by moving in together in Tallahassee, Florida.

“I love how Zac is always looking for an opportunity to connect and relate to others and I know that wherever we go and whatever we do in life, that will be a very important part of the life we build together,” Lydia says. “I admire how he always knows how to make all the little things in life fun and helped me be able to enjoy every present moment while they’re still here.”

Wyse adds: “I admire Lydia’s ability to forget about herself for the sake of others. That’s how much she cares. She’s a light to so many around her, spreading the joy she has like it’s the greatest gift with no price. She gives not with the worry of whether or not she can but that she gave it her all so that someone might have a better day. It’s truly inspiring and I can’t wait to see how it grows in our marriage together.”

After the wedding, Plath tells PEOPLE, “This day couldn’t have happened without everyone who just gave so much, and I’ve been blown away by the beauty of it all. It was so much better than I could ever have imagined.”

“It was nothing short of a miracle how this day came together,” adds Wyse.

Plath and Wyse got engaged two months ago in December 2024.

Describing their winter engagement, Plath shared at the time, “The moment we were in each other’s arms we were overwhelmed with all the emotions that led us to this moment where all we could feel was pure joy for the commitment we were about to make.”

Plath’s engagement announcement came less than a month after she hard launched her relationship via Instagram on Nov. 21, 2024. Alongside a series of photos of the pair posing together against a scenic mountain backdrop, she expressed her gratitude that she found and connected with her then-boyfriend.

“Words can’t describe how grateful I am the Lord has brought you into my life! ❤️,” she wrote.

She continued: “You never cease to amaze me with the adventures we go on, supporting me in every high and low, and overflowing every moment with joy as we pursue the Lord together. My love @zaclwyse 🤍.”

In his own Instagram post announcing the relationship, Wyse wrote: “Life is full of adventures but I can’t help but want to spend the rest of them with you! So grateful for what the Lord has given me 🤍 proverbs 31:30.”

The month prior, Plath gave her fans hints that she was dating someone. To celebrate “National Boyfriend Day” on Oct. 3, 2024, the singer-songwriter shared a peek of her then-boyfriend without disclosing his identity.  She posted a photo of the pair’s hands on Instagram, writing in part, “You’re a blessing from the Lord and have brought so much joy to my life! I can’t wait to see what the future holds!”
